Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 26 years old and have had two white patches on the private area of my penis for the past two years. I have no other symptoms, like itching or spreading. Could you please recommend a treatment?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

It appears to be leucoderma or penile vitiligo. I request that you answer the below questions to arrive at a definitive diagnosis so I can guide you accordingly.

  1. Since when did it appear?

  2. Is the lesion itchy or burning at present?

  3. Is there any irritation?

  4. Is there any redness around the surrounding skin?

  5. Have you used any steroid cream in the past?

  6. Did you have any history of balanitis?

  7. Did you use any harsh soaps, lubricants, or fragrance-based lotions?

  8. Do you have a family history of vitiligo?

  9. Did you have any widespread lesions with irregular, asymmetrical borders?

  10. Do reply by attaching an image.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It appears to be steroid-induced hypopigmentation. Avoid the use of high-potent steroids, as they have caused depigmentation. It will take time to fade. Until then, avoid chronic friction. I suggest you take the following tablets: Tablet. Pigmento (Neem, Bukachi, and Vidang) once daily after dinner for 30 days. Consult your doctor and take the medicines accordingly. Follow up after 30 days.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
