Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had an abortion when I was six weeks pregnant, and it is been two weeks since I had an abortion. However, today I noticed some yellowish-whitish fluid coming out of my breast when I pressed on it. This only happens when I squeeze the breast, and I am not sure if it is normal, considering I am still in the early stages of pregnancy (six weeks). Please give your opinion.

Thank you.

Hi,

I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.

I can understand your concern.

The discharge from your breast is most likely due to the hormonal fluctuations associated with the termination of pregnancy. Although your pregnancy was terminated early, this occurrence is still common in some women. For now, avoid nipple stimulation, as further stimulation could worsen the discharge. If the fluid continues after six weeks from the date of abortion, despite not stimulating the nipple, then you would need to undergo tests to check for other possible causes.

I hope you are satisfied with my answer. For further queries, you can consult me at icliniq.

Thank you.
