Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had my period in the first week of this month which lasted for about five days. I had unprotected sex after my periods and took the morning-after pill (Vonel) the next day. I had a small amount of nausea and dizziness the day I took the pill. Four days later, I had some bleeding which lasted about two and a half days. At present, I have some pain on the one side of my uterus or perhaps my lower abdomen. That side almost feels numb in comparison to the other side. Should I be concerned about this pain? Could this indicate pregnancy? Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I do not think you are pregnant, but I would suggest you get a pregnancy test done for confirmation, though your menstrual bleeding seems to flow poorly. You should be concerned about the pain because I think you may have an ovarian cyst due to contraceptive pills intake. So please do a pelvic scan and reply to me with the result.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.
