Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 19 years old and I do not have any major health issues. My problem is psychological. I am deeply in love with a girl. Suddenly she stopped talking to me for nine days, and she did not even tell me the reason. I have tried to learn from her friends but they do not know. So, I cannot focus on my daily work and studies because of her as I am feeling very upset and depressed all the time. I cry at night. Is there any medicine for me that would make me feel better and forget the feelings for a few days?

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your problem and situation.

You have depression due to relationship issues. No medication can help you with one day and help you to forget your feelings. I can give you medication that can help you to get better and help you to deal with your depression. You can start a tablet of Escitalopram 10 mg daily in the morning and a tablet of Clonazepam 0.5 mg at night for sleep disturbance. These are Schedule X drugs, so it may be possible that you will not get them without a psychiatrist's prescription in your country.

I hope that you get your answer.

Thank you.
