Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a slightly built child since childhood, so I want to gain weight. I want to take Liv 52 DS tablet to increase my appetite. So I want to know how to take this medicine and when to take it, for example after or before a meal, morning or evening, one tablet or two tablets, etc. Kindly give your opinion.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern regarding your appetite problem. The Liv 52 DS (Guduchi, Daruharidra, Mulak, Amalaki) tablet is not primarily used for improving appetite. Its main use is improving liver function or help to repair damages to the liver mostly associated with its function like enzyme secretion, etc.

These tablets are suggested as per the patient's overall requirement, so in your case, this will not be of that importance. Also, it is not advised in people who consume alcohol. In case you consume alcohol, I suggest not to use it. There are syrups like Aristozyme (Diastase and Pepsin) available in the market, or consult a doctor in person and then take any medication to improve appetite. Also, get a diet chart prepared by a dietician, which will give great benefits. Regular exercise also helps to improve appetite, so give it a try.

I hope this was helpful.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
