Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a pimple-like thing on my penis. It looks like an oval bump. I have had this once before, but I just thought of it as a heat pimple. But this time the pimple has a whitish color to it at the top too, like a small whitish bump, and the rest of the penis also looks like a bump. I simply put boroline on it, and it went away on its own after 2-3 days, as far as I recall.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Regarding your symptoms, I believe you have infected penile folliculitis. Do you shave your genitals every time? Folliculitis is an inflammatory reaction of the skin's hair that may have generated pus. Consult your doctor and take the medicines accordingly. I suggest you please take the following:

  1. Tablet: Metronidazole 400mg (anti-anaerobic) orally for three days.

  2. Capsule: Co-Amoxiclav 625mg (amoxicillin and clavulanic acid) orally for two days.

  3. Tab Ketoconazole 200 mg (antifungal) orally for four days.

  4. Tab Acyclovir 800 mg (antiviral) orally for four days.

If your symptoms persist, schedule another appointment.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
