I have thick skin pads on my cheeks. What is it?

Hi doctor,

I have thick skin pads on my cheeks, and the symptoms have all the hallmarks of rosacea, redness, itchiness, pain in sunlight, blushing, etc. I was becoming very self-conscious of my face and wondered if I could do anything to reduce the symptoms. It started almost 10 to 15 years ago, but it has become more aggressive. I have not taken any medication for rosacea, and it now seems to be getting worse. Please help.

What causes a burning sensation between the leg and scrotum?

Hello doctor,

I am a 22-year-old male. Today I woke up and before taking a shower I felt a burning sensation when I touched the spot between my left leg and my scrotum, then I discovered some wounds, similar to cuts in the area, they were not there yesterday. I also have to mention that they had appeared before, in the same area (about three times in the last three years), and they usually disappear in about three or four days. I have a partner and I am really worried about this being herpes because if that is the case I would absolutely consider leaving her, just to avoid her problems.

I had sex with two strangers, with one of them about four months before getting this for the first time. I also removed my pubic hair with a machine about two weeks before this.

Does skin firming treatment cause bulges on the face?

Hi doctor,

I am 34, and I used to get Botox once in every few months. I recently went to a plastic surgeon to have a consult for skin firming treatment. I was told that I am an excellent candidate for Sculptra facial injections. I was told that the facial injections would cause no down time and give a gradual firming effect over a few months. I proceeded to have the injections, and after the first week of bruising and swelling went down, I was left with two very large bulges on each side of my lower face along the jawline. One side is even larger than the other. As I was very concerned, I went back to the doctor. I was told this was normal and it would go away. Over a month later I still had these bulges and went back again, and I was given steroids. I am inquiring about the second option because I am still being told by the doctor that this is normal and it has been two months. I would like an option on the result, if it truly is normal or if I am dealing with something else. What can I do to fix it? Thank you so much.
