Cardiac arrhythmias are an irregularity in the heartbeats, which occur when the electrical impulses to the heart that coordinate the heartbeats do not work properly. Here, the heart either beats too fast or too slow or too early or too irregularly. They are usually harmless and might feel like your heart is fluttering or racing. The types of cardiac arrhythmias are atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, long QT syndrome, sick sinus syndrome, conduction block, and premature heartbeats. The other symptoms include tachycardia, bradycardia, chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, sweating, and fainting. Some of the causes are stress, anxiety, panic, fear, hormonal changes, high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, heart diseases, heart valve problems, sleep apnea, and heart attack.
